Bord na Móna has completed its €61m acquisition of waste management company Advanced Environmental Solutions (Ireland) after obtaining regulatory approval.
The acquisition of part of Bord na Móna's strategy of diversification into waste management and power generation and follows the acquisition of Edenderry Power from EON Ltd in December last year.
John Hourican, MD Bord na Móna said strong cash flows from the group's existing businesses provide a solid platform for the diversification programme into power generation and waste management.
