Ryanair is reported to have offered to sell Aer Lingus landing slots at London's Heathrow Airport in an effort to win approval from the European Commission for its proposed takeover of the airline.
A report on the Reuters news agency quoted sources as saying that Ryanair was willing to sell slots at Dublin and Heathrow to British Airways and CityJet.
The European Commission has until July 4 to decide on whether a Ryanair takeover would be anti-competitive. Ryanair has said it will consider making a fresh offer if it receives EU backing.
Previous reports suggested the commission had expressed concerns about the effects of a Ryanair takeover, and had asked Ryanair to respond.
