House demand steady, says McInerney

The chairman of house builder McInerney has told shareholders that demand for houses in Ireland remains 'steady', though there is caution among buyers.

Ned Sullivan also told the AGM in Dublin that reservations from its sites in England this year had been running around 35% higher than in the same period last year.

He also said that while the Spanish market was slow this year, the company expected a 'positive result' from its business in the country this year.

McInerney shares closed up 20 cent at €14.46 in Dublin today.
