Clothing retailer Awear has been bought by its managers from Brown Thomas for an undisclosed sum.
The company has 25 shops in the Republic, two in Northern Ireland and one outlet in Selfridges in Birmingham.
The management buyout was backed by private equity firm Alchemy Partners.
The sale is subject to approval by the Competition Authority.
Awear managing director Annmarie Flood said the company would now concentrate on expansion in Ireland and the UK.
According to research conducted last October by Consumer & Retail Research Solutions, Awear is one of the top ten visited stores in Dublin for Saturday shopping.
