Invest NI sees Assembly opportunity

Invest NI, the body which promotes enterprise and foreign direct investment in Northern Ireland, has reported results for the year to the end of March.

Last year was the agency's most successful for foreign direct investment, with 28 overseas companies setting up in the North, creating 3,500 jobs.

Invest NI says it offered £47m in supports to foreign companies and £53m to Northern Irish companies.

'With a new Assembly only days away, we must utilise a new era of political accommodation to improve the profile of Northern Ireland abroad,' said chief executive Leslie Morrison.
