SAP quarterly profits rise 10%

SAP, the German business software maker, has reported first quarter net profit of €310m, or 26 cent per share, which was a 10% on the same three months in 2006.

Total revenues were €2.2 billion, up 6% on the same quarter in 2005, and software revenues were €563m - which was a 10% increase on the previous year's first quarter.

Henning Kagermann, CEO, said on a constant currency basis, the company had achieved a strong increase in software and software related service revenues and reported strong growth in each region.
