Following an open competition, Tony Grimes has been named as Director General Designate of the Central Bank and the Financial Services Authority of Ireland.
He is currently assistant Director General of the Central Bank and will take up his position when Liam Barron retires from the position in August.
He worked with the ESRI prior to joining the Central Bank.
