An extraordinary general meeting of ferries group Irish Continental has been adjourned until further notice.
The meeting was called to discuss a takeover offer of €18.50 a share from a management group led by chief executive Eamonn Rothwell.
But last week the Doyle shipping group and One51, who had been buying shares in ICG, said they were in talks on a takeover offer of at least €20. The two groups later bought shares at €20.50.
A statement from ICG's independent directors on Wednesday night said Doyle and One51 had not yet started the process of due diligence, where they go through the company's books.
