Intel plans $30m investment in Ireland

Intel has announced plans to establish a new research centre in Ireland, with an investment of approximately $30m over a period of three years.

The Technology Research for Independent Living Centre, which is supported by the IDA Ireland, will conduct research into technologies that can address the challenges of independent living for older people.

Intel will collaborate with several Irish universities on the project, including UCD, Trinity and NUI Galway.
