McEvaddy is back on Knock board

Mayo-born businessman Ulick McEvaddy, who heads up airline trading and leasing company Omega Air, has been appointed to the board of Ireland West Airport at Knock.

Mr McEvaddy, who was a close personal friend of the airport founder Msg James Horan, served on the board of the airport from 1986 to 1989.

Ulick McEvaddy is also chairman of Huntstown Air Park Ltd., which is proposing to build a second terminal at Dublin Airport on the company's land there.

He is one of three new members joining the 12-member airport board. The other new appointees are John Travers, chairman of the Tourism Strategy Implementation Group, and Arthur French, a Mayo-born property developer.
