The company has indicated the European HQ will remain in Dublin, employing around 200 people.
Last Friday the company closed the assembly-line operation which made digital music players, such as the company's flagship product Zen. The company said this will be outsourced to a lower cost location, with the loss of 90 jobs.
In a statement today the company said an additional 140 jobs will be outsourced at different operations including the manufacturing and logistics functions at the company's European Headquarters in Dublin.
Two years ago Creative Labs shifted key functions to its Dublin office to concentrate on consumer electronics such as MP3 players.
At peak production, more than 500 people worked at its Ballycoolin site, which distributed Creative Labs' flagship soundcard product throughout Europe.
