Financial services group IFG says today that it is in 'advanced discussions' which may or may not lead to the acquisition of a specialist corporate services company.
Without naming the company, IFG says it offers trust and company administration services and structures, similar to those provided by IFG's international division.
IFG says the possible deal is worth about $10.5m sterling.
The company says that if the acquisition if completed, it will be funded from the group's existing resources and by the proceeds of a placing of over three million new ordinary shares.
It adds that a further announcement is expected to be made shortly.
IFG shares closed up eight cent at €2.04 in Dublin.
