The General Secretary of SIPTU has warned that the threat of industrial action over severance terms for former Greencore employees is still on the agenda.
Joe O'Flynn said that the Labour Court has written to Greencore again, clarifying the Court's position.
That definitive clarification fully supports SIPTU's interpretation, he said.
'Management should now accept the recommendation and look after the workers who helped to make Greencore the successful company that it is today,' said Mr O'Flynn.
'The method of calculation which management is using to determine the severance package means a potential loss of up to €60,000 for some 80 of our longer serving members', he said.
'We accepted an invitation to return to the Labour Court for a final clarification on their recommendation but management declined the invitation to attend', he added.
