Lufthansa to cut long-haul fuel surcharge

German airline Lufthansa said today that it planned to lower its current fuel surcharges on intercontinental flights to take account of the recent decline in oil prices.

Lufthansa said in a statement it would cut its current fuel surcharge on long-haul flights by €10 to €52 with effect from October 16.

However, the current €12 surcharge on short and medium-haul flights would remain unchanged, it added.
