Kinsale gas lifts Island revenues

Exploration company Island Oil & Gas has reported pre-tax losses of £400,000 for the year to the end of July, up from £100,000 in the same period last year.

Turnover more than doubled to £1.1m, mainly from gas sales from the Seven Heads field, in which it has a 12% stake. Island operates two gas wells in the Celtic Sea off the south-west coast of Ireland.
