The Dublin and Northern Ireland chambers of commerce are today launching an all-Ireland lobbying initiative aimed at what they call 'poor infrastructure and rising costs of doing business' on the island of Ireland.
They will today sign a memorandum of understanding at their first joint council meeting in Dublin.
Dublin chamber president Eugene McCague said that together, the two bodies would have a much stronger voice to influence the decisions that affect their members' businesses.
NI chamber president Mark Sweeney said the bodies were proposing an all-island exporters' forum to underpin both parts of the island as a location for manufacturing and services exports.
