Slattery's buys Dublin's Stein Travel

Slattery's Travel has bought Dublin-based tour operator Stein Travel. One of Stein Travel's founders, Michael Stein, will join the board of Slattery's, and the two firms will have a combined turnover of around €70m.

They will continue to trade under their own brand names. Slattery's, set up in 1936 by the Slattery family, is based in Tralee and remains a family owned business.

Stein Travel was set up in 1984 by Michael and Rosalind Stein and specialises in Mediterranean destinations. It acquired Corona Holidays in 2002.
