Internet service provider Digiweb has announced that it has concluded a €20m funding round with the Moritz Group, an investment development firm active throughout Ireland and Central Europe.
Until now, Digiweb says its expansion and construction of its national networks has been self-financed through reinvestment of revenues and a business expansion programme.
The new funds will enable Digiweb to create a further 100 new high technology engineering, computing and customer service jobs in Dublin, Dundalk, Waterford and Limerick. This will increase Digiweb's workforce to 220 over the next 18 months.
Digiweb's Metro service was launched a year ago and offers a broadband and telephone deal for under €20 a month.
