Sales at drinks group Pernod Ricard grew by 68% in the year to the end of June compared with the same period last year to just over €6 billion.
61% of this was due to the acquisition of Allied Domecq last July. Organic growth was 4.3%, while currency movements accounted for 3% of the increase.
Sales of Jameson grew by 12% in volume and 15% in value, with particularly strong growth in the US.
Pernod Ricard said the integration of Allied Domecq had gone more smoothly than expected, leading a reduction of nearly 40% in debt to €6.3 billion. As a result, Pernod has lifted its earnings forecast for the full year to €7.80 to €8 per share.
