Waste management company Greenstar UK, a subsidiary of tolling and infrastructure group NTR, has acquired independent UK recycling company Wastelink.
NTR says the deal will make it the largest recycling-led waste management firm in the UK.
Greenstar UK has also bought RU Recycling, which operates a big recycling centre in Lancashire and has plans for another in Birmingham. Greenstar UK already has a recycling site in Lincolnshire.
The deals are in line with NTR's aim of becoming an international environmental energy business.
