Monaghan's Combilift to create 100 new jobs

100 new jobs are being created at Irish company Combilift in Monaghan town over the next three years. The company today officially opened its new €10m headquarters in the town.

Combilift manufactures the world's first engine-powered, all wheel drive, multi-directional forklift.

The company was set up in 1998 in Clontibret, Co Monaghan by entrepreneurs Martin McVicar and Robert Moffett. It currently has a workforce of 150.

Combilift exports 94% of all its forklifts to over 45 countries around the world, with India and Dubai being the latest markets to be developed. Between now and 2010, the company predicts that its exports will increase from €60m to €100m.
