Diamond giant De Beers has bought 500,000 shares in exploration company African Diamonds.
This brings its stake to 3.6%. De Beers exercised its right to buy the shares following an agreement with African Diamonds last year.
The two companies are working on a diamond project in Botswana in southern Africa.
