ICS follows BoI mortgages move

ICS Building Society has raised its fixed mortgage rates from today because of a rise in the cost of funds on the financial markets. Its parent company Bank of Ireland made a similar announcement on Friday.

The rises range from 0.13 points for a one-year fixed rate for new customers, to 0.34 points for a two-year fixed rate for new customers. The one-year rate for existing customers goes up by 0.3 points, while the two-year goes up by 0.18 points. The longer-term fixed rates go up by between 0.24 and 0.3 points.
