Ulster Bank Group has funded what it claims is the largest single retail property acquisition in the UK since the late 1990s.
Fosse Park is a 416,000 sq ft shopping centre outside Leicester. It was bought recently for €525m (£360m sterling) by a group of Irish investors, backed by the Ulster Bank.
Ulster Bank's CEO of Corporate Business and Financial Markets Robert Gallagher said that the virtual ban in Britain on the construction of new out-of-town shopping centres has helped grow the value of existing sites.
Fosse Park was built in 1989 and was one of the last to be developed.
