Borders plans first Dublin bookstore

US bookstore chain Borders has confirmed that its first outlet in the Republic of Ireland will open in the West End Retail Park in Blanchardstown in Dublin this autumn.

The 20,000 square foot, two-storey store will contain around 200,000 books, music, periodicals and movies. Borders says the new store will have an 'extensive selection' of Irish language titles and books written by Irish authors.

A statement said the Blanchardstown outlet was 'the first of what will be multiple store locations' in the Republic.
