Ryanair sees busiest weekend ever

Ryanair says it has sold its highest number of seats to date on its Irish routes for St Patrick's weekend.

The airline said it will carry 200,000 passengers on its routes to and from Ireland over this St Patrick's weekend period making it the busiest ever.

From today all passengers booking with the airline will pay a fee of €3.50 per bag, per flight if booked in advance on its website or €7 per bag, per flight if presented unbooked at the airport.

Ryanair currently has 61 Irish routes in operation, with another 20 planned from Dublin to Europe in a month's time, which Ryanair say will help it carry 10 million passengers to and from Ireland over the next twelve months.
