The Northern Ireland based Tayto Group has bought the Golden Wonder manufacturing facility at Scunthorpe in the UK and the Golden Wonder brands from Kroll's Corporate Advisory and Restructuring Group.
The brands include Gold Wonder and Golden Skins crisps, Golden Lights and Ringos.
The company said the deal secures 551 Golden Wonder jobs and takes Tayto from €22m turnover to over €145m in five years of accelerated growth.
In a separate deal, Tayto has sold the Nik Naks and Wheat Crunchies brands to United Biscuits. It will continue to manufacture both products at Scunthorpe under a co-manufacturing agreement with United Biscuits.
The Northern Ireland based group has no connections to C&C Group business of the same name in the Republic.
Earlier this year, Tayto Northern Ireland bought Golden Wonder's Pringles Minis snack unit. Around 195 jobs at the company's Corby production plant were saved.
Golden Wonder went into administration last month after sales were hurt by competition from rivals such as Walkers Snacks.
Tayto's Managing Director Stephen Hutchinson said he was delighted at such a positive outcome after weeks of negotiations.
'We have a very clear vision for our business and the sale of Golden Wonder provided us with an accelerated growth opportunity at exactly the right time,' he said.
He said the company wants to further expand the business into the rest of the UK and also to consolidate its core business in Tandragee in the North.
