PREM buys Liverpool apartment block

Dublin-based property management company PREM Group has bought all 62 apartments in a block in a development in Liverpool for €15m.

The Eden Square site is being developed by Liverpool company Downing. PREM says the deal will see the creation of Liverpool city's first self-contained block of serviced apartments when the scheme is completed in 2007. The apartments will be fully furnished and offered for long-term bookings.

PREM managing director Jim Murphy said the apartments would offer corporate and leisure travellers an alternative to a traditional hotel stay.

PREM operates hotels in Ireland and the UK, plus more than 230 serviced apartments across Ireland and UK.
