Exploration company African Diamonds, which is listed on London's AIM market, has reported what it calls 'exceptional' results from drilling at its AK6 diamond discovery in Botswana.
African Diamonds is involved in the site with its joint venture partner De Beers.
It said 1,022 diamonds had been recovered, including a 4.56 carat octahedral diamond, one of the largest recovered from the prospect so far.
Chairman John Teeling said the results 'surpass all expectations'.
