The founder of low-cost airline easyJet, Stelios Haji-Ioannou, has launched another no-frills pizza oulet in Britain.
Haji-Ioannou, today launched the franchise of easyPizza.com in the south of England in Segensworth East.
The chain will reduce costs by making use of call centres and the internet for placing orders, while overheads will be cut owing to an absence of high-street chains.
The no-frills pizzas are being made in Germany, before being frozen and flown to Britain, where they will be cooked in ovens.
EasyPizza.com plans to have 9,000 franchises across Britain.
The son of a wealthy Greek-Cypriot ship owner, Haji-Ioannou began his empire 10 years ago through the creation of no-frills flight operator easyJet, and has since expanded the 'easy' brand to sectors including leisure cruises, cafes, hotels, and car rentals.
