The Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Micheal Martin, signed an agreement on scientific and technological co-operation with his Indian counterpart, Kapil Sibal today. The agreement was signed as part of the Irish trade mission to India.
The new agreement will promote links between Ireland and India through joint research on projects of mutual interest, reciprocal visits by scientists and participation in conferences and seminars.
The Minister has welcomed the co-operative agreement and said that research is a global and expensive activity and no state can be an expert in all fields.
