Figures released by the Department of the Environment show that house prices rose grew at an annual rate of 10.6% in the third quarter of this year. Prices in Dublin were 8.3% higher.
Second-hand house prices grew by 11.9%, with a 12.5% rise in Dublin. Prices in these categories fell by 1.3% and 2.3% respectively compared with the second quarter, however.
The Q3 housing statistics bulletin shows that house completions for the first nine months were 54,394, up 0.4%, though the Department has since released figures showing a 2.3% rise for the first ten months.
