The Central Statistics Office shows that the average weekly earnings of industrial workers rose by 3% in September from the same time last year.
Industrial hourly earnings rose by 2.1% while average hours worked also rose by 1%.
The CSO says that average weekly earnings of all employees - industrial, clerical and managerial - rose by 3.5% in the year to September. This rise consists of 3% increases for industrial employees and 3.6% rise for clerical and managerial workers.
Meanwhile, the numbers working in industry here declined by 2,200 to 237,800 in September of this year. Between June and September, there was a seasonally adjusted increase of 500 in industrial employment.
