British retailer GUS said today that its Experian unit had bought US-based online shopping service PriceGrabber.com for $485m.
Privately-owned PriceGrabber was founded in 1999 and allows online shoppers to compare the prices of products from different online retailers.
GUS said the acquisition, plus expenses, were funded from its existing bank facilities.
