Exploration company Ormonde Mining's Spanish subsidiary has been awarded grants totalling €320,000 by the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade in Spain.
The grants cover investigation activities carried out in 2005 at the La Zarza gold and copper project and the Tracia gold project.
Grants are awarded on the basis of forecast spending on a project for the current year, and are subject to the satisfactory completion of a technical audit and review of actual project spending by the granting authority.
Meanwhile, Conroy Diamonds and Gold says it has discovered two further gold-bearing structures on its Longford-Down Massif licences. The new finds resulted from a programme of sampling over the ten targets identified on these licences and first announced in April this year.
