An Post - NIB send both parties back to Labour Court

The National Implementation Body has referred An Post management and the Comunications Workers Union back to the Labour Court after two days of talks aimed at resolving the dispute at the company.

The NIB has asked the Labour Court to assist both sides in reaching a solution by next Tuesday.

It is understood that the Labour Court will consider the contents of an independent financial assessment carried out by accountants Grant Thornton. In the meantime, the contents of that report remain confidential.

The report was commissioned by the NIB amid disagreement between management and the CWU about the cost implications of changes to work practises at An Post for collection and delivery staff.
