The Jacob Fruitfield Food company said today it is the new distributor of the Lir brand in the Irish market.
The distribution agreement is initially for a three year period. Irish brands at Jacob Fruitfield include Bewleys, Chef, Silvermints, Fruitfield and Scots Clan.
Hugh O'Brien of Lir said the deal will enhance the company's position in the Irish retail market, particularly in symbol outlets and smaller retail outlets around the country.
The Jacob Fruitfield Food Group, has recently been selected as a finalist in the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award 2005, which will be announced at the end of September.
