Irish Dairy Board names Coakley as new chief

The Irish Dairy Board has named Noel Coakley as its new chief executive.

Mr Coakley, 49, succeeds Dr Noel Cawley who is retiring next year. He has been with the board for 22 years and has had responsibility for all of the boards operations in the UK since 1990.

The Dairy Board sells Irish produce in about 100 countries using the Kerrygold label.
