Reports suggest that US multinational Bausch & Lomb in Waterford is set to make a jobs announcement in the near future.
While no official statement has been made by the company, it is understood that the company is planning to expand its production plant.
An official announcement is expected in the next few weeks when senior management return from holidays.
Bausch and Lomb, which makes eyecare products, has been in Waterford city for 25 years and employs about 1,700 people.
