Food group Kerry has expanded its chilled ready meals business in the UK with the £124m acquisition of Noon Group.
London-based Noon develops and produces Asian cuisine meals and snacks, mainly for British multiple retailers.
Kerry said the acquisition would complement its existing UK ready meals business.
Chief executive Hugh Friel said the UK chilled ready meals market was worth £1.4 billion a year and was growing a between 5% and 7% a year.
Shares in Kerry closed 13 cent higher at €20.60 in Dublin this evening.
