Concrete group Readymix has sold its quarry at Aughrim, Co Antrim, to Woodend Contractors Limited for €20.4m in cash.
Readymix said the net book value of the quarry was around €1m. The quarry made pre-tax profits of around €1.2m last year. The proceeds of the sale will be used partly to reduce the company's debt.
