Figures from the Central Statistics Office show that the number of new cars licensed in June rose by nearly 10% compared with the same month last year to 14,950. The number of second-hand cars licensed jumped by more than 80% to 1,498.
for the first six months of the year, the number of new cars licensed was up 13.6% to 121,460 compared with the same period last year.
