The annual rate of inflation in the euro zone crept up to 2.1% in June from 2% in May, according to the EU statistics agency Eurostat. This confirmed an earlier estimate.
Prices rose by 0.1% in the month, with higher prices for transport fuel and heating oil among the main factors.
