Irish exploration firm Glencar said progress had been made on mapping, sampling and drilling projects in Ghana and Mali.
Speaking at today's AGM,Hugh McCullough, Chief Executive, said the mapping and sampling programme at the Sankarani Project in Mali has been completed at the Komana West prospect with 19 grab samples yielding an average grade of 5.8 g/t from a 19 metre long exposure.
Drilling is set to commence at Komana West in the fourth quarter of 2005.
He added that the company will be making a submission to list on London's AIM market shortly.
