Paul Duffy has been appointed chief executive of drinks group Irish Distillers, which is owned by French giant Pernod Ricard.
He succeeds Philippe Savinel, who has been appointed chairman and chief executive of Ricard in France.
Mr Duffy joined Irish Distillers in 1994 and was appointed finance director in 1997. Since 2001, he has been chief executive of Pernod Ricard UK.
