Ormonde updates on progress in Spain

Exploration company Ormonde Mining says the initial drilling programme at its La Zarza Gold-Copper project in southwest Spain has been completed.

Ormonde says that gold and multi-element assay results have been received from three of the holes drilled, with the results from the other four pending. The holes were mainly designed to obtain representative samples for metallurgical testwork from both gold and copper resources.

'Our programmes are progressing as planned at La Zarza with drilling intersecting anticipated intervals of continuous gold, silver and/or copper mineralisation, and we look forward to advancing through the next stages of the project,' commented Ormonde's Managing Director Kerr Anderson.

'In addition to the metallurgical testwork and subsequent economic scoping study, we will be maintaining the momentum of the drilling throughout the coming months to investigate previously untested extensions to the current resources,' he added.
