Travelodge to open new Dublin hotel

Budget hotel group Travelodge Ireland is to open a new 54-room Travelodge Hotel in Rathmines in Dublin tomorrow, creating 30 new jobs.

Formerly Rathmines Capital Hotel, Travelodge Ireland closed the hotel for renovations in October 2004 and has spent the last number of months upgrading and modernising the building.

Travelodge Ireland was acquired in 2004 by two former senior managers of Jury's Doyle Hotel Group, Seamus McGowan and Richard O'Sullivan.

The company is building additional rooms at its Waterford hotel and will start an extension to its Dublin Airport Hotel in Swords next month.
