The largest hotel in the West of Ireland opened today when the Days Hotel Galway opened its doors.
Formerly known as the Galway Ryan Hotel, this new development has a total of 311 bedrooms following a €30m refurbishment. The hotel is operated by the PREM Group.
The Days Hotel Galway brings to four the total number of Days Hotel franchises operating in Ireland, which include two in Dublin, and one in Tullamore.
However, the PREM Group has announced that they expect to add further to that franchise with the opening of Days Hotels in Castlebar, Co Mayo, Clonmel, Co Tipperary and at Santry Cross, Dublin next year.
They are also at advanced states of negotiations for at least four other locations in Ireland.
Days Hotel is one of the global franchised brands of Cendant Corporation, which has over 1,800 hotels worldwide, 36 of which are located across Ireland and the UK.
