Bank of Ireland Corporate Banking has opened a new office in Paris, its first in Continental Europe.
The bank said it has been active in the French market since 1997, focused primarily on leveraged financial transactions.
Bank of Ireland's success in the French market has been growing in recent years. Last year, it participated in 16 transactions representing total commitments of over €350m.
'Our objective now is to focus on arranging and underwriting mid-market leveraged finance transactions in France, using a dedicated private equity sponsor coverage team,' commented Richie Boucher, CEO of Bank of Ireland Corporate Banking.
