UK airline bmi today reported a £2.1m pre tax profit for 2004 compared to a pre tax loss of £9.8m in 2003.
Group turnover increased 7.5% to £830m. Passengers carried increased by 11% to 10.5 million and the group load factor increased from 67% to 70%.
Sir Michael Bishop, chairman of bmi said: "a robust approach to controllable costs and an ability to compete effectively in exceedingly tough market conditions has had a positive impact on our trading results".
BMI, operates up to eight departures daily from Dublin Airport to London Heathrow.
